LifeKnight
I’m COO at LifeKnight, preparing the company to scale. LifeKnight builds AI-enabled safety technology that watches biometric and environmental signals for emergencies like falls or health anomalies, then routes help to the right 911 dispatch center without a call center in between.
Truffle Pig
Truffle Pig is a practice I use for giving back: showing up in person, on the ground, to verify that an organization is a genuine, well-run “truffle” before I commit time or money to it. It’s about separating the prize from the dirt, the way truffle pigs do.
My first trip was to scout an orphanage in Uganda. I keep returning to East Africa to check in on the groups I support and find new ones. I wrote up that first scouting trip in an article called What Will I Find Next?
I also do this for other donors and organizations: if you’re considering supporting a group in East Africa, I’ll scout it in person and report back what I find.
